Anchorage is Alaska's most populous city and
is located in Southcentral Alaska.

Broadcasting at a maximum allowed power of 100,000 watts, and with 1,900 feet antenna elevation we cover more area than any other TV station in Anchorage. We can be seen directly throughout the Anchorage-Eagle River area and the Matanuska-Susitna Valley; via translator on channel 6, Kenai-Soldotna, channel 12 Palmer, and on channel 29 UHF in many other places. Here (116 kB taken 2-4-00 5:25 PM) you can see a view from our transmitter across Cook Inlet towards Mt. Illiamna. A bit later that night Anchorage looked like this (179 kB 5:49 PM). Our friends at Touch 'N Go have a live camera looking at 4th Ave.in Downtown Anchorage. Touch-N-Go also happens to be the best legal resource center in Alaska.
KYES is now the only locally owned Full Service TV station in Anchorage. It is owned by myself, Jeremy Lansman and Carol Schatz. Both of us have extensive broadcast experience. Carol has managed KYUK in Bethel, AK., and was President of the National Federation of Community Broadcasters. I have been involved in many commercial and non-commercial radio and television projects.
We are a UPN affiliate and offer a wide variety of
quality programming.
