This sort of VHF interference lessens as the wavelength decreases (frequency increases). On an FM radio, it will be hard to discern unless you can tune slightly off frequency, in which case you may hear a sort of buzz.
I hooked a rabbit ear to 7 meters of co-ax and put the antenna in the middle of my living room. I tuned the TV to channel 2 and turned on the track light. I captured a frame my TV then turned off the track light and captured another frame. Leftmost is channel 2 with the track light off, then with the track light on. You can see the bands of sparkles in step with the power mains. Next is a photo of the interference generating track light supply, and full right a compact florescent that makes similar interference.
To cure this sort of interference, you can turn off the device, or arrange it that you have more distance between the device and your antenna.
